Weekly, National Two and my food blog

Not much to share this week but you might notice some changes on this very site. I finally included my food blog here and will update it with more recipes in the next couple of weeks. Because I find it too stressful to write my recipes in English I will write the in German. If I hear a strong demand to do otherwise, let me now. But maybe that is also a good start to learn some German, right? Well I also translated the rest of the site, so if you prefer to read stuff in German you can do so now. This weekly format will stay in English though.

If you’re into good typography, especially for the web, you should check out Kris Sowersby’s National Version 2 – a complete overhaul of his popular sans-serif typeface, National. It’s beautifully done with a lot of attention to detail.

Comparing websites for getting a loan for buying or building a house is a nightmare. Information is always kind of cluttered or you just cannot find the topics you’re interested in. This website looks like a fancy online mag and they call themselves specialists for getting a loan for your house. I like it very much.

I read this article the other day about Instagram and giving the app microphone access. Kind of creepy and alarming. When you’re not using actively using the Stories feature, make sure to disable microphone access for the app on your phone.
